Ingredients

  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 2–3 sausage links, sliced into thin rounds
  • 45 ml tomato sauce or ketchup
  • 60 ml cooking cream
  • 30–60 ml reserved pasta water (as needed)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 80–100 g shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce or ketchup.
  5. Add the cooking cream and mix until smooth.
  6. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
  7. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated.
  9. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top, cover the skillet, and cook for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  10. Serve immediately.
